Family relationships have different periods. There are ups and downs. Close people in times of fall become complete strangers.
I have an older brother. He served in the Army after school, and now he has a decent job and earns good money.
I live in a two-room apartment with my parents, and he rents a flat. Three months ago, he introduced us to his girlfriend. She’s from the countryside, she’s finishing an institute in our city and lives in a dormitory.
We liked her, she didn’t seem bad at first sight. He is a grown-up guy, of course, it’s time to think about a family.
But yesterday he came home and announced to his parents that he was getting married. We were just about to congratulate him joyfully when he stopped us with the following sentence:
“We’re not going to rent, I have a share in your apartment, let’s trade.”
So we sat down. Who on earth put him up to this, if it wasn’t my wife-to-be.
She obviously worked well with our Nikolay, she obviously needs a residence permit, and she does not want to go back to the village after the institute.
It is necessary, somehow in the city to catch up. And how we change the land and where we will live, my brother and his bride do not care about that.
My father and mother tried to talk some sense into him, but he was adamant.
I went over and asked him:
“When are you planning the wedding?”
And he was so rude:
“None of your business.”
I was taken aback. Because my brother never talked to me like that. My parents took this story very hard, but what to do – legally he is right.
He said that he would play a wedding, go on a long business trip, and then we’ll settle all the issues.
He did not invite my parents to the wedding. It was yet another blow to them. I consoled them as best I could. I tried to talk to my brother and sister-in-law. But it was all for naught. He was completely enveloped by her charms.
My parents were looking for an option to swap into two one-bedrooms, while my eldest son was having fun at the wedding.
And so after the celebration, Nikolai left on a business trip for three months. They lived in a rented apartment for the time being, because my daughter-in-law did not want any contact with my parents. Later we understood what the reason was. She just wanted to live freely. Well, it’s a nice place for her to live.
Her husband was handsome, he earned good money, and he was always away on long business trips, and now he had his own place to live. He forbade her to work. He said my wife shouldn’t work. Even his friends were wagging their fingers at him and saying that you were making big mistakes. But he was too much in love.
So, so when he went away on a business trip his wife started dating guys and I happened to see her and filmed her walking with another guy in her arms as they cooed on the bark in the park.
I sent the video to my brother’s phone – and a call immediately followed asking for more details. I could hear it in his voice that he was heartbroken and broken.
I told him don’t rush to tell her. Come over unexpectedly and see for yourself, and then you can make a decision.
Of course, he saw everything on his arrival and was convinced of everything he had said about the girl.
She was, of course, completely perplexed – how she knew that she was cheating on him.
Nicholas divorced his wife and came to his parents to ask their forgiveness. My parents are kind and forgave him.
He said:
“Mom, Dad and you little sister – forgive me! It was a very hard lesson that I learned for the rest of my life. I hurt you undeservedly. I’m sorry, it will never happen again!”
And since then our family has been even stronger. And my ex-sister-in-law is now looking for a new husband to get a foothold in town, because she doesn’t want to work at all.
